Lucky #7

In my happiness and haste yesterday, I failed to announce all 7 categories that 'Hunger' was nominated in for the British Independent Film Awards.

So here they are:

Best British Independent Film
The Douglas Hickox Award
Best Director
Best Performance by a Supporting Actor
(yeah Liam Cunningham, moving in with Michael and practicing paid off!)
Best Screenplay
Best Technical Achievement
Best Performance by an Actor
(MICHAEL FASSBENDER)

If this is your first time hearing about the BIFA awards, at its website, link above, you will come to learn what it is all about:

Created in 1998, The British Independent Film Awards set out to celebrate merit and achievement in independently funded British filmmaking, to honour new talent, and to promote British films and filmmaking to a wider public. BIFA 2008 takes place on 30 November 2008 at Old Billingsgate Market.

Cripe! I'll be in London on holiday and business Nov 12-18, I sure would have like to be in town for this event.

Also, when you click on Michael's name at the BIFA website, they direct you to Michael's profile at IMDB. Hmmmm, since they are referencing that site, looks like Michael's people better get a move on it and post a photo of Michael on that page, asap. It is long overdue, and IMDB is like an online resume for anyone in the industry.

I'm so thrilled for Michael, Steve, Liam, Enda, and Sean for their 'Hunger' nominations, as well as to Kelly Reilly and James Watkins for 'Eden Lake'. BIFA nominations is good PR for box office tickets and DVD rentals.

Lastly, if you don't mind, at the top of the sidebar, you will note a blogcatalog rating scale. I would greatly appreciate reader feedback via rating Fassinating Fassbender at your leisure. The rating goes from 1 (FF sucks) to 5 (FF rocks), and if you click on the link on the scale, you can leave feedback there. I'm open to all constructive criticism, suggestions, or compliments. Thanks!
