One Week Only!
Starts Friday, December 5 at the Nuart Theatre
Actor Michael Fassbender In Person
Friday, December 5 at 7:30 & 10:00pm!

Hunger follows life in the Maze Prison, Northern Ireland, with an interpretation of the highly emotive events surrounding the 1981 IRA (Irish Republican Army) Hunger Strike led by Bobby Sands (Michael Fassbender). After riots erupt due to the treatment of 'non-conforming' republican prisoners, Sands reveals to Father Dominic Moran (Liam Cunningham) that he is going to lead a new Hunger Strike to protest their special category status. The conversation immediately intensifies into a battle of words, illuminating the prisoners' determination to begin another Hunger Strike despite the priest's questioning of their motives and morality. With an epic eye for detail, the drama provides a timely exploration of what happens when body and mind are pushed to the uttermost limit. Directed and co-written by acclaimed British artist Steve McQueen. Official Web Site

Looks like some of the ladies from the group who met Michael at TIFF, and who went to Ireland for the first annual Fassy Fan Con and had a meal with his parents at their restaurant, are going to gather in LA to see him at Nuart this Friday.

LOL! Yes it is. But there are boundaries and people have to be mindful of how often they approach a celebrity. But since Michael is so sweet, it's hard not to be tempted. Anyhoo, this event will be filled with Hollywood types wanting to check out who this guy is and seeing if his work in Hunger is worthy of them voting for. Afterall, this screening is an Oscar qualifying screening only so I don't know how fan friendly it will be.
