Cannes he do it?

The Herald reports that Michael's 'Fish Tank' is shortlisted for the Cannes Film Festival Palme d'Or. It would be so brilliant if this British film, starring Michael Fassbender, were to go all the way, stand out at the CFF, and win this top prize. Oh, and btw, he'll also be starring in some Quentin Tarantino film that will also premiere at Cannes. ;-)

Three British films were today chosen to compete for the prestigious Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Ken Loach, who won the award in 2006 for The Wind That Shakes The Barley, was named in the competition for Looking for Eric, which tells the story of a football-loving postman who receives coaching from his hero Eric Cantona. Bright Star, a period drama about poet John Keats with a British cast and crew, and Fish Tank, a domestic drama starring Michael Fassbender, who won plaudits for his portrayal of hunger striker Bobby Sands in Hunger, also made the competition. Former Monty Python star Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, a fantasy movie featuring Johnny Depp, Heath Ledger, Jude Law and Christopher Plummer, will also be screened, but will not compete for an award.

That's great for Michael. Everything's going so well for him. It's just a testiment to his talent. I see more good things coming his way.

Love the picture too!

I know, he's going to get so big it's going to be ridiculous, he's not going to be our special secret anymore. :0

I love that picture too, just found it today.
