Creek sneak peek!

There is finally a bit a news about Creek. I still don't know the US release date, but there is a raw footage out on the film today. This 3 minute scene may give you an idea of what this film is about. Now again, the mysterious Mr. Michael is not seen, but I believe at the very end of this sneak peek, he is seen being carried by Dominic.

Go to this link at Quiet Earth to check out 'Creek' starring Michael Fassbender, Dominic Purcell, and Henry Cavill -

I'm hit and miss with Joel Schumacher but he's still a filmmaker I'm always willing to give a chance to. While I think his work on the later Batman films are inexcusable I liked Tigerland a lot. His new film, an "occult revenge thriller" called Creek (formerly "Town Creek") starring Prison Break's Dominic Purcell, Centurion's Michael Fassbender and Henry Cavill (The Tudors) sounds creepy as hell and it's one I've been looking forward to seeing more from since some good reviews began trickling in from its screening at Cannes last year.

Synopsis:A man and his brother on a mission of revenge become trapped in a harrowing occult experiment dating back to the Third Reich. The footage we have for you after the break is extremely raw and seems to have been assembled completely randomly. In fact, it's actually a bunch of dailies with crude, unmixed production sound laid on top. It is no NOT a trailer. It is NOT a promo-reel. It's just footage that, regardless of it rawness looks stark and haunting. In fact I would say that there hasn't been a more haunting old house in a film since the one in Psycho.

ETA: (more info about the plot) In 1936, the Wollners - a German family living in rural Town Creek, Maryland - are contacted by the Third Reich to host a visiting scholar, Professor Ricard Wirth. In need of money, they accept Wirth into their home. Wirth's grand occult project seals the Wollners off from the rest of the world and makes them players in a horrifying game of survival. Now, in 2007, Evan Marshall's life has stalled at twenty-five years old. Left without answers after his older brother Victor's disappearance from a camping trip near Town Creek, he has tried to move on. But when Victor returns one night, very much alive and having escaped his captors, Evan asks no questions - at his brother's request, he loads their rifles, packs up their boat and follows him back to Town Creek on a mission of revenge that will test them in every possible way...

Interesting. Now, I'm intrigued and wanting to know more. Ugh! Again, dying to see more of the Michael.

Michael's dailies must be so good, they're keeping them under wraps.

These kind of cerebral horror movies are right up my alley. And as much as I want to see Michael as frequently as possible in this film, the eye candy that Henry will provide will shut me up.

Yes, I think Micheal is a scene stealer from the main star and 'the powers that be' are keeping his scenes hidden until the films are released. Yeah, that's the reason why we haven't seen jack. ;)

It definitely looks cerebral and so far not too gory, which makes me want to see it. Henry Cavill ... he is good eye candy.

The wait for Michael's scenes is going to feel like forever! And IB doesn't come out until August!

Well, according to Variety, they confirm that not only will Inglorious Basterds premiere at Cannes, but also Fish Tank, which stars Michael. So chances are very high that he will be at Cannes next month to usher the premieres of both his films. So we have that to look forward to.

I'm now wondering that since IG will come out on August 21st, will Fish Tank be shown at the Toronto Int'l Film Festival? I hope so as it would be wonderful to see Michael again, or if not him, his movie at TIFF. Have you ever been to TIFF 'Black Penned Writer'(BPW)?

Two movies at the same time sounds so nice! I look forward to that.

Nope, unfortunately I've never been there. I'd be awesome to go one day. Money's funny though.
