From Hex to Jonah Hex

Last week in an audio interview, Michael Fassbender mentioned that his next project will be a film adaptation of the comic book character, 'Jonah Hex'. He gave no additional information as to the character he will play, but when I did some research on Jonah Hex and realized that it will star Josh Brolin as Mr. Hex, and co-starring John Malkovich, and Megan Fox as Hex's love interest, I figure this might just be a pretty good action comic film. Since Michael's name is not listed as a cast at IMDB page of Jonah Hex yet or anywhere else, I don't know how big or small his role will be. But this could be a franchise and I have previously thought how cool it would be for Michael to hitch himself onto a comic book franchise, since they have proven to be so profitable and significantly bumps up an actor's profile.

In a summary from First Showing, this is the plot of Jonah Hex - "Jonah Hex is being directed by former Pixar animator Jimmy Hayward. I've heard from a good friend that Hayward is actually a big fan of both comics and westerns, so this is actually a good fit for him and somewhat of a perfect movie for him to make his live-action directorial debut. The story in this will follow Jonah Hex, played by Josh Brolin, a bounty hunter who tracks a voodoo practitioner that wants to raise an army of the undead to liberate the South. "

I'm hopeful that very soon we will get some heavy duty Fassbender news, info, and images because it's starting to suck when there's nothing substantive to write about and discuss about for him. And that ain't right, Michael deserves better than that.
