More Michael from Comic Con

This is a cool picture of the three of them, they could be a rock band.

The Jonah Hex thread at ONTD! totally ignored Michael and they even cropped him out of a few pictures. WTF? Don't they know who he is? They are all so crazy over that chick and I'm seeing my worse fears come true, the promotion of Jonah Hex will be focused on the girl and that's so damn wrong!

And here is the YouTube video of the Jonah Hex panel. An anon poster in the previous blog entry stated that they felt that Michael came across as arrogant. What do you think? After I viewed it (posted my comment there) I didn't see anything about Michael that should be perceived as arrogant. Also, we need to keep in mind that the audience at Comic Con is a bit stranger and more unusual than the typical panel a star sits on when answering questions about their film. So Michael and others may not be as comfortable as they normally would in that situation. Heck, I was embarrassed in my home watching this video with these nerds fawning over Megan, and them asking Josh questions about the film while dressed up for Halloween, and not asking Michael anything in the clip we see. The man is just sitting there and trying to enjoy the thing and do his job. He was fine.

Simone, totaly agreed! Michael is a most normal and well-wishing person we've ever seen... He was amazing!
In this "glamour-upside-down-world" that "birdy" licking her pouting lips more attractive to many than he is... But not for us...

I couldn't believe the posturing that MF was doing. All that stuff with her mouth, pouting, trying to look all sexy. It's quite overbearing watching it from a computer screen thousands of miles away, let alone sitting next to her. I'm sure any decent guy would not be impressed with MF as she seems to be impressed with herself.

She's pretty, but in a very contrived and manufactured cosmetic way. Without all the makeup, gloss, teeth whitening, and hair extensions, she would be just another girl.

Michael handled himself well on the panel with well known Josh Brolin, and Sex Kitten Megan Fox.

I'm just catching up with this now - can't keep up with all MF/FF activity these days - pressure of work. They all seem cool to me - over this side of the pond we're given to believe that Americans don't do irony but they sure seem to at Comic Con - or am I reading that wrong? Anyway can I ask a question? Does anyone know the state of play with Birdsong? It was my understanding that filming had to take place in France in July - I assume for location/weather or it would have to be shelved for another year. Michael seems to be globetrotting a lot the second half of July so I was wondering if filming had started?

I wish I had information to share with you in regards to Bird Song. According to the inaccurate and slowly updated IMDB, there's no new info on Birdsong, other than old fears that the recession may have put off production for a bit. I dunno. It must be so frustrating trying to get movies made in this economy.

Just keep visiting FF when you can anon to keep posted on what's up with Michael. :)

Thanks for that Simone. After 2 years of activity in cinema and/or DVD I'm just thinking that maybe in 2010 Michael isn't going to have much coming out plus I'm really intrigued thinking about him in Birdsong. Not that the boy doesn't deserve a rest...but I need my Michael fix.

Michael is spoiling us this year that's for sure. And I wouldn't rule out an anemic 2010 just yet. His popularity is really rising and surely he's on the Top 5 list of a lot of producers in Hollywood. By year's end, we'll learn about him being signed up for other projects that will make 2010/11 break out years for Michael as a major LEAD actor.

Mark my words.

I agree he will be big, expecially after Inglorious Basterds.

Here is a link to another comic con video on you tube where Michael is speaking at the beginning.

Thanks Maura! He looked really good. It should be noted he starts to speak at around the 3:30 marker. I muted the rest.

Oh, and here's the direct link to that

I was pissed. The crowd there was so disrespectful. Just ugh! I was infuriated almost, when he would make a joke and (I found it kinda funny) yet nobody laughed. It was so awkward. When that came out clear back in 2009, I was scared that America would never accept real actors that could actually act and sit in it's boring repetitive "Megan Fox fakeness" phase. Just ugh. But now in 2011, Megan Fox is old news and Michael Fassbender as Megneto and Rochester are blowing the audiences away into ecstasy. :)
