Blood 'Creek' is out!

A lazy and nonchalant quick Michael Fassbender Google search alerts me that today, Sept. 18th, Blood Creek (aka 'Creek') has been released TODAY, in very, very limited cities. And guess what, one of those cities is Warren, Mi, just 40 miles East of me, at the Cinemark Warren 16 - this is the only Michigan theater playing a new Michael Fassbender film!!! A long awaited and patience testing stand off.

Had I known that it was released Today, I would have made plans to drive there to see the 7pm show, but it's too late now as I literally JUST found out, and I'm not driving there for the 10:25pm showing. However, I'll go see it Sunday at the 8pm showing. I work all day Saturday, and something tells me that if this theater is the ONLY theater that's playing it now, the next time I will be able to see it will be on DVD. So, if you want to see if 'Blood Creek' starring Michael Fassbender and Henry Cavill is playing near you, go to movietickets.com, insert your zip code, and search up to a 40 mile radius of where you can see this movie. I know this is crazy, and I'm poorer than a church mouse, but, I gotta get my Michael fix. Hey, it's better than crack!

If you read the article at this link, you'll come to the same conclusion as I did in reference to how indifferent Lionsgate is treating this film. It's only running at second run theaters, aka, the Dollar movies, well, really, the $2 movies, due to inflation and stuff.

Plot Summary: In 1936, the Wollners - a German family living in rural Town Creek, Maryland - are contacted by the Third Reich to host a visiting scholar, Professor Ricard Wirth. In need of money, they accept Wirth into their home. Wirth's grand occult project seals the Wollners off from the rest of the world and makes them players in a horrifying game of survival.

Now, in 2007, Evan Marshall's life has stalled at twenty-five years old. Left without answers after his older brother Victor's disappearance from a camping trip near Town Creek, he has tried to move on. But when Victor returns one night, very much alive and having escaped his captors, Evan asks no questions - at his brother's request, he loads their rifles, packs up their boat and follows him back to Town Creek on a mission of revenge that will test them in every possible way...

Starring: Dominic Purcell, Henry Cavill, Michael Fassbender, Emma Booth, Rainer Winkelvoss, Shea Whigham, Gerard McSorley, Winter Ave Zoli
