Remember Galway?

Hey, remember that little masterclass thingy Michael participated in at the Galway Film Centre last June? And we waited and waited for news and pictures from it but found nothing? Well I finally found a little something and it was by pure luck. I found this picture of Michael posted at a photosharing site taken at Galway by staff. Unfortunately there is only this one image, and its size is as I found it - so nothing larger. And I found it only because I mistakenly typed his first name as Micahel, and sure enough, that is how the image caption saved the original picture. That's a bingo!

In a couple of weeks, the Oscar nominations will be announced and I have a good feeling that Inglourious Basterds will get double digit nominations, and some surprise nominations too. At In Contention, Guy Lodge wrote an article ('Why I'm Backing the Basterds') stating why he too feels that Basterds will win the Best Picture Oscar (along with Tom O'Neil's prediction way back in November). If you take a moment to read through the comments, you may be pleasantly surprised to see whose name comes up as a surprise dark horse Best Supporting Actor nominee.

And if you are in the vicinity of Brooklyn, you might want to go see Michael at BAM as he and Andrea Arnold present Fish Tank and have a Q&A this Thursday evening. This may be one of the last times to see Michael in a setting such as this as his skyrocketing career may not allow him to be so accessible to fans in the future. If you go, please feel free to report about what happened there, and take pictures!

Simone, it’s so nice to see in your blog photo of Michael and Josef together… We met with Michael’s father in August and had an opportunity to make sure that his meals are amazingly delicious! It “heals” and gives strength… A really haute cuisine!
Beautiful people… beautiful picture…
Happy New Year!
Best Wishes!

Oh so that is Michael's father? I thought he looked slightly familiar as I've only seen one other photo of his father a long time ago.

And you went to Ireland to his parent's restaurant months ago? Why are you just telling me this now? LOL!

It is a very cute picture.

Yes, we were in Killarney for a week, went to watch the lakes and The National Park, and West End House is just a five-minute walk from it.
We didn’t think that we should tell :) Sorry…
But this morning it was great to see them both… They are very-very much alike…

Killarney is a tourist destination of Southern Ireland, and now more than ever I reckon. I would love to visit Ireland one day, I've always wanted to go there.
