A Poster of Shame

Mere days after back to back updates about Michael Fassbender's latest Jane Eyre film, we now see the first one sheet image of Steve McQueen's second film, 'Shame'. Like the startlingly haunting images from 'Hunger', we just see the hand of a man (Michael/Brando) pressed against a window, with the foggy reflection of the city in the forefront. What does this mean? I don't know, but I like the simplicity of this image.

According to The Playlist, here is the latest synopsis about 'Shame' -

Brandon (Fassbender) is a 30-something man living in New York who is unable to manage his sex life. After his wayward younger sister moves into his apartment, Brandon’s world spirals out of control. From director Steve McQueen (Hunger), Shame is a compelling and timely examination of the nature of need, how we live our lives and the experiences that shape us.

I don't know how much longer I can have this poster image here at FF as it has been requested to be removed at Playlist. So, I'm going to play dumb and keep on keeping on...

Needless to say, 2011 is going to be a ridiculous *~*BREAK THE FUCK OUT YEAR*~* for our Michael, and I'm going to make the most of my upcoming trip to London in a couple of weeks. The dude is finished filming X-Men:First Class (which we still have no proof of his existence on the set), so he's probably in chill out mode for the holidays and in preparing to film Shame in New York City in January.

I have been reading many comments about the video clip of Jane Eyre that we all saw the other day, and most of the comments have been positive, but as I feared, many people are on the fence as to how believable Michael will be as Mr. Rochester. They aren't doubting his talent, it's his level of attractiveness that they question in him being cast as Rochester. But, I think we all just want to see it for various reasons - you have the Bronte groupies, the Fukunaga fanboys, Mia fans, and the Fassinators. And everyone seems to be excited about the heavy gothic and supernatural theme presented in the trailer.

We're going to be seeing a lot of Michael Fassbender next year and his fanbase is going to explode!

How do you know he has finished working on X-men? I thought the shooting of the film is supposed to last to the end of december.

Really? I read somewhere today that filming has wrapped up.

I just thought they were going to film on Dr. Jekyll's island in Georgia next month:

Don't know if Michael is part of the filming, though.
