Face to Palm

If I had a 'What The Fuck'? file, this information would be in there all by itself:

"After scoring big wins at the Critics' Choice Awards, "The Help," "The Descendants," The Artist," "Moneyball" and "Bridesmaids" may get more kudos love soon at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

That's because all 100,000 SAG members have so far received DVD screeners of all of those films."

No SAG nomination for Michael = No fuckin' wonder!

Sounds like the rumor that Fox Searchlight sent out the SAG screeners of Shame too late was correct.

What a major miscalculation.

Rumors need to be substantiated, just like this information verifies.

Miscalculation? No, a fuck up.

WTH were they thinking? Sending out the screeners on time, isn't it a basic thing to keep in mind? They are pro, then their move should be professional. This is a huge disappointment.

I said I had reservations about Fox Searchlight! All the sabotage talk surrounding The Descendants and Shame, etc. I knew SAG usually gets it right, that's why I wondered why they snubbed Michael and Shame! It makes sense now! This is unacceptable Fox Searchlight!

I only hope the AMPAS screeners will fulfill their mission; win the voters' hearts and get Michael the Oscar nom!!! Plz don't follow your poor predecessors...Stupid Fox Searchlight..:(

I just read your post on Tumblr! WTF it is! cause I am still pretty upset about the SAG! I recently watched Shame the third time! Michael's performance still blows me away. He deserves the nod from his peers. This is an epic failure of fox searchlight!

Re: AMPAS screeners.

Shame was sent via UPS on Dec 23rd. In contrast, Weinstein Co sent out their screeners for The Artist on Dec 28th. So, a comparative timeline.

@Anon 1:54pm, what time was The Descendents sent out?

Thanks.

December 3rd, so 20 days before Shame.

Those dates I cited were for AMPAS screeners. I have no idea when the SAG screeners where sent for either film.

I saw something on Yahoo today about the Golden Globes and how they predicted Brad Pitt would win, but they believed Michael was the one who really deserved it. They even said they hoped the HFPA would be as brave as Michael and make him the winner. Here's the link, if you're interested: http://tinyurl.com/6wa2bw7

I totally agree; I hope that Hollywood does embrace Michael after he's put every part of himself (literally and metaphorically) out there for people to see and judge. They would be fools and cowards to ignore the talent and courage of his performance.

Michael doesn't need stupid awards he's got a 7 inch flaccid penis, which is something, it would seem, that most of these geriatric voters resent.
