Hello there!

Hi everyone! I just arrived back home a few hours ago from my fabulous holiday in Killarney, Ireland, and London, England. I have so much to share with you all, but as you can imagine, I'm exhausted and I need a couple days to form my thoughts, and rest. However, here are the highlights I'll cover this week:
  • Killarney is a magnificent and beautiful town, I had a great time! My pedometer tracked my hiking adventures in total at the 70+ miles mark. And yes, my feet look like it too!
  • I made it to London just only a half hour after the Prometheus red carpet, but I took pictures inside the Empire theater as Fassy was inside watching the film. I saw him come out of the theater but I missed taking a picture of him. He got into one of the many posh sedans and sat in the front seat as he was driven away. He had a mad grin on his face that was pure Happy Fassy. The car drove by too fast for me to take a picture, but... I saw HIM and that's all that matters.
  • I saw Prometheus yesterday and it is an incredible film. It is not an Alien 'pre-quel', but something within the universe of Alien, but a great film all on its own. Michael as David stole the show. He may think he looked like a ten quid rent boy with the blond hair, but in 3D, he was beautiful. I will watch it in IMAX this coming weekend with a friend.
  • I have a fun contest giveaway I will announce later this week, some cool things a true Fassinator will enjoy.
Thanks to Dionne and Veronica for holding up the fort while I was gone, they did a great job!

xoxo

Simone

Welcome back Simone. Happy you enjoyed the movie, and also (like many of us I'm sure) thought that Michael was THE MAN(/robot) in the movie.

So glad to have you back Simone! We're all looking forward to hearing about your adventures and hopefully seeing a few photos too. That's so awesome you got to see Michael- however brief! Dionne and I did our best while you were gone, but your presence was definitely missed! :-)

I like to hear more about your fantastic trip and your oppinion about Prometheus.
The European Fassinators have already a bit of a "discussion" on Pinterest about Prometheus. But it's difficult because we are affraid to say too much.

I'm glad you're safely back, Simone! It's great that you got to explore the Emerald Isle on foot.

I think everyone in the U.S. is highly anticipating "Prometheus" release on the 8th. I'm not sure why the hell the opening dates for Europe and U.S. had to be different. It's been hard for me not to hear and read the disappointment over the film from film critics and bloggers I respect, but then again, I am no fanboy. Yet reviews from my friends in the UK are not kind, so I'm happy you liked the film.

Thanks all!

@MLM, while the reviews for Prometheus in Europe have been mixed, I have skimmed over some that were very nice and spot on. I think that some people have made the mistake of going into watching Prometheus and EXPECTING an immediate connection to the Alien series. You have to go into watching this film with NO expectations, only to enjoy a space adventure created by Ridley Scott. And that's what you get, an original and amazing film adventure with some startling moments.

I enjoyed it so much, I can't wait to see it again this coming weekend.

It’ll be nice to hear your thoughts after you’ve seen it a second time Simone. I feel like I understand films better with each additional viewing.
