And You Thought Paparazzi Photos Are Intrusive

What do you think of these cell phone pictures of Michael? Do you think he knew they were being taken of him? Would you take covert pics of Michael like this with your cell phone? I'm only posting these here because they are on the Internet, he's in a public place, his playground of the fantastic Broadway Market in the Hackney neighborhood of London. I'm on the fence with these because although he's a public personality in a public place, there's a boundary that may have been crossed. The sneaky cell phone photos of him being with friends is, sneaky. Regarding paparazzi, they at least have legitimate equipment and make their presence known that they are there taking pap photos of YOU - Mr/Ms. Celebrity. I don't use a camera phone so I couldn't take these pictures, but if I did, I don't think I could do this, it just seems, rude, especially the third image. Let's discuss...

When is it ok to take pictures of Michael or any celebrity for that matter, like these?

It's legal. Just tacky.

The third pic is obviously disrespectful but the other ones don't embarrass me.

The third one is definitely disrepectful.
I don't have a mobile with a camera, and I still find it weird if people hold up their phone to take pictures.
The main problem is not taking these pictures/videos but posting them on the internet without thinking (or asking).

Yes, the third one is very tacky and rude. Some people who use camera phones aren't really photographers, so they just snap away at anything that peaks their interest. And in this me-me-me society, those same people think this is ok. Again, it's not illegal, but it is lowclass. If I were to take these pics, I would not have posted them online.

Fleur is right. It's totally legal, just tacky. That's not a professional, just someone who thought to use their phone camera to take pics of him. The first pic or two are okay, and it was just something this person tweeted because they happened to be in the same place as he was. The third.. Makes me believe this was some young person because they lack common sense and maturity. If you ever snap a picture like that, that's not something you share or post, not to mention that's lame. He was obviously unaware of any of them being taken. I can't imagine someone walking to a woman and taking a picture of her breats then thinking, Oh yes! Straight to social media look what I got!...Really? On a side note, if MF is London, lucky dog! Would love to be watching some of the games in person.

3rd is outrageous.
The 1st is bad enough.
2nd the same.

If I ever came across MF I would take a pic of him if he were willing to take one with me of course :D

Or he were at a premiere/or after a show and he were signing things- def would try for a pic.

This person could have gotten probably a really cool & wonderful pic if they would have went up to him & asked- they surely were close enough! (laugh)

As much as I love reading or seeing any news Michael-related, the sneaky cell phone photos of him, especially the third one, to me spell—O.F.F.E.N.S.I.V.E. Shame on the sneak who took them.

I agree with everyone.

Michael says he can still fly under the radar and not be mawled by fans when he's out and about. So if I had the good fortune to come across him in my daily life, I would not be sneaking photos. I would just ask him for a photo and then ask if I could have his baby! Kidding!

Seriously thought, the photo would be mine to keep! I wouldn't share the photo with the world. I would tell the world I met him though - I would be most proud of that!

Wish I lived in London ... and not Australia!

As Michael's celebrity profile continues to rise, many more mobile phone pics like these will be taken. He tries to live a regular bloke's life by being out there in public minding his own business. But there will be star grazers so shocked to see him out and about, common sense and decency will not prevail and they'll take pics like these.
