Graham Norton show was a hot mess, but Michael was posh and professional

As posted at the FF Pinterest board by Alesia, here is the Graham Norton show in its entirety. As of this moment, I have yet to watch it but the consensus appears to be that the show sucked very much and that was due to Mark Wahlberg being douchey and feeling inferior to Michael. Graham Norton was a flat idiot host, and Sarah was subpar as well. Watch with caution, it will make a true Fassinator cringe, but adore Michael all the more for what he had to endure.

Oh, to my mind to say it was a mess was a huuuuge underestimation. Is this show always like that? because I thought the host and the guests were rather impolite to Michael. And after "I can see your penis in front of my face" on 14-06 I really had to force myself to watch it until the end. It is just impolite to talk like this.

I also am under the impression that you'd better not wear such short shorts to a widely broadcasted TV show. And you'd better mind your own business and let other people talk.

To sum up, in my opinion Mr Wahlberg was a disaster and should be ashamed of himself, Ms Silverman could have been somewhat more modest and the host was a total failure.

Anyway, Michael managed to act extremely professionally even in this catastrophic environment.

@Vera: you've summed up this awful interview very well!

I really don't get it that if an actor from the UK/Ireland is on an English show you don't give him the opportunity that talk about his resent projects (Graham introduced him as a great actor so talk about acting then). I hope that Michael's publicist will skip this kind of shows, because it's insulting to the man's acting.

For what I read in the tag of fassbender on tumblr, Mark was drunk - but one girl said that he only drinked one glass of wine in the beginning of the show, and before that he was very normal and sober. The same girl said that Fassy talked about Frank (but it was a little) and he seemed a little uncomfortable, but not just him, Sarah and Graham was too.
But when she saw the show (because she was there), they edit a lot of things. Anyway, I just feel sad for fassbender because people still do some jokes or/and talk about his penis. Guys, one year passed after the release of Shame and people still talk about it? Like, seriously? For God's sake, leave the guy alone!

Thanks for whomever supplied the link. In any case it was nice to see Michael and he looked really good. I did read in several places that Mark was drunk. He wanted all the attention. He was rude to everyone.

As far as Michael, too bad he didn't really get to tell too many new stories. This Noron guy only talked about stuff he's talked about already in other interviews. Too bad about the childish behavior that was shown here. It could be Mark is jealous of all the praise that is given to Michael. No one has ever raved about Mark's acting in the manner that people have praised Michael's acting. Who knows. Sarah was just being her normal crude self.

Do we as his fans appreciate Michael's body? Um, yes. But Shame was over a year ago. Get over it people!

A "hot mess" it was, but having seen the show, it was oddly more entertaining that usual. Mark was drunk. It was obvious from the first time you see him walk onstage with the sweating gleam, eyes and the fact the first words out of his mouth were already slurred. Those kinds of shows aren't really 'serious' anyway, and usually it's just to drop a little attention on whatever projects are current or show a quick clip for PR. I actually laughed quite a bit to be honest. I like MW, but this was really not a great light to be seen in and he did show his arse on TV. Everyone knew it too. SS, is a comedian (?) and that's kind the bill for those folk and she's always been a bit odd. MF, yeah, I did feel bad for him but he handled himself with class and played along. Btw.. MF=1, MW=0. Think the audience knew it backfired on him as well and the synth and silencer noises..hahaha..Nice. Those shows are made to be less formal and light hearted and being from the US, we don't get to see late night entertainment much in that fashion unless we have cable. Ours is a bit more tailored and sensored. MF was the only one who wasn't drinking (at least on stage) and if you harbor that influence, then expect to have guests that will act that way...Not to mention when you have three guests and are simultaneously attempting to interview them for the entire length of the program. Maturity I think showed as did tact. That's why WF is respectable and so well liked. It is too bad that people only want to talk about the nudity all the time..I too would've liked to have heard more about his current projects but we'll have to wait for different programs or opportunities where they actually 'want' to know. Thanks for posting the video..I needed a laugh today.

Personally I love Graham Norton but you have to take the show for what it is - perhaps those abroad don't see it so weren't expecting the format, it's a chat/entertainment show where the acts quickly plug whatever their latest venture is and then get on to the laughs. I think Graham just had to roll with what was happening and he did comment this week on last week's car crash! I've never been a fan of Sarah Silverman and Mark Wahlberg has gone down in my estimation but it's worth remembering even the nicest people become annoying idiots under the influence (I can think of a few I know)!

While at the library at the moment, I watched the first 7 minutes of it and based on what people are saying about the show, I just don't have the time to really get into it. I wished Michael was on the show by himself, I would have enjoyed it much better. No so interested in hearing what Mark or Sarah has to say.
