Bonjour Stephanie! hold tight, you will see 12 years a slave in due time and I know you'll appreciate the film.

I hesitate to say 'like or love' the film, but it's so ugly and brutal.

You're right Simone,it's almost naturally to say you 'like' or 'love' a film. But like or love aren't labels you can put on certain films and TYAS is definitely one of them. The benefit of not being able to label it with simple words is that it makes people curious towards the film.
Now the award season (circus) is starting I catch myself having a tiny adrenaline kick everytime I read something in relation to Michael or Steve. But the most important thing for me is the way I feel about a film. That is my true measure, that are my emotions. A most awarded film can do nothing to me and vice versa, but for the actor/director etc. it can change his/her world. So that's why I'm having the adrenaline kicks...

I think it will be easier to list the awards this film will NOT be nominated for.
