Michael Leaves LA

Michael Fassbender has left Los Angeles today to head back to the UK to continue filming MacBeth. As you see in these pictures, the paparazzi/professional autograph collectors are easy to pick out. They are usually solo guys just hanging out because they don't have real office jobs, wearing jeans or cargo pants, and a baseball cap. They have no allegiance to any particular celebrity, just as long as you are in the A+ to B- list range, they will take your picture, and demand you to sign something for them to sell on E-bay. Michael doesn't have much time for this crap, so he has his sunglasses on and is just looking straight forward. Why he doesn't have minders around, I don't know, but he doesn't look too happy with all the attention.

Today is a heavy celebrity departure traffic day at LAX, so all the guys have to do is stand around like stalkers, being completely unproductive with their lives, to chase celebrities leaving town. I have a love/hate thing for pap photos. Michael is a person of interest, and he's in a public place, but I guess I just dislike the wolf pack behavior of these scummy guys who harass and bother people coming to and leaving LAX, or any airport for that matter. But some of these pictures do provide us with general information about Michael, such as him leaving LA. And that's just about it.

I feel you on the love/hate. I like knowing where/when he's working/filming, but those photos of people on the streets with their significant others or families are painful.

I liked seeing his mom with him on Oscar night--I'm sure she was a great support as only a mom can be for her little boy (they're always your little boy, even grown up). Is this a new trend for the photographers to take more of an interest in the non-famous people who attend these things?

What do you mean by non-famous people?

I'm back. You piqued my interest in the eBay thing. A search of 'Michael Fassbender autograph' brought up 111 results. Not too bad a number except knowing that Michael gave them freely and these people want to make money off it. Shameful.

The worst one I saw was actually addressed to someone and said 'Thanks for the support.' I guess he should have said the same thing to MF since the seller's making money off of him.

At least my purchase of one of your shirts, Simone, I'm not asking anyone to do anything for free and I'm donating to charity. If I ever had a selfie or got an autograph with MF, you can bet I'd never sell it except to feed my starving children. I think he'd approve in those circumstances. ;)

Like family members and/or friends of the famous.

I haven't done an Ebay search on him in quite a while, and back then it was crazy, so I know it's worse now. Michael made a comment about the autograph collectors, he is well aware of them and know they don't care about him. But he's so polite, he tries to sign as many as he can when he can and I'm sure he knows that 70% of the autographs are sold.

But the fools who buy from those collectors are the main culprit. If there is no demand for second hand autographs, there would be no autograph collectors. So I place the major blame on the idiots who buy that shit. I only have one autograph from Michael from the few times I've seen him. And it's mine because he wrote my name on it. I treasure it and can never sell it. Autograph collectors, they're assholes who can't find read jobs and do this for a living.

Another reason to not live full time in SoCal where these parasites abound.

you should see them in action at the Toronto Int'l Film Festival. It's kinda awesome and creepy watching them at the same time. I can't imagine having to deal with that in my life. Some of them antagonize some celebrities to get a reaction out of them, and therefore, get more money. It's a disgusting business. I spoke with a couple pap guys... they're different, some aren't very nice at all.

Well, it probably takes a certain personality to basically piss people off for a living.
