Michael is in London Days Before Slow West Opens

I look forward to adding Slow West to my Blu-ray collection.
So, that leads one to wonder if Michael will make any appearances with director John Maclean to promote the film in England. Nothing official has been announced, perhaps Michael may depart London before Friday the 26th, the day Slow West opens in theaters there. I have been reading a lot of reviews of the film, and it appears that a lot of critics like it. Did you read last week's FF review yet? Well, if you're in England, treat yourself to this great film, because how often do you see Fassy in a Western? Meanwhile, enjoy these pictures of Michael in London yesterday, originally posted on tumblr.

I was interacting with someone on Twitter yesterday after I tweeted about how some stanspeople have a serious lust/hate/envy thing for Michael Fassbender. Either that or they are bi-polar and can't help themselves. The person tweeted a series of responses back to me. And in one of them, she referred to Michael as being "too lazy" to engage with fans via social media and thereby, he gives carte blanche to stans to "control his image" under their warped terms. Negative "fans" don't control his image, and her argument was blown out the water by her own displeasure of his lack of interest in not being a self-promoting whore like a member of the Kardashian clan. Michael Fassbender if anything, is being very smart for not having a known presence on the Internet with a social media account, where these very same stans and demanding haters would gravitate to, and have even more direct contact with him to share their delusional, self-sanctioned moral arguments, judgments, and expectations of him. Ain't nobody got time for that, let alone him!

Michael is not obligated to have a social media presence to be pestered by his fanbase, just because some of them are obsessed to the point where they make up stuff about him just to bicker with one another. All one needs to do is refer to Tom Hiddleson's greatly diminished twitter presence to see that for some celebrities, having a twitter account can do more harm to one's PR than good. Every time that man tweeted something, some deranged dingbats would write rude comments. Frankly, there are just too many unstable people out there in the world, and celebrities take a risk by creating a social media presence, and thereby, indirectly invite these questionable people into their lives. The overwhelming majority of Michael Fassbender fans are good, normal people - it's just the few rotten apples that he has to protect himself from. I've lost count of how many celebrities I read about who had to delete their twitter accounts due to the horrible behavior by supposed fans. I don't want Michael Fassbender to be one of them.

As much as I consider myself a social media professional and enjoy interacting with family, friends, and my worldwide audience - having a Facebook, Instagram or Twitter account is not for everyone, or for every celebrity. We already know that Michael claims to be not so on top of technology - not that he's a technophobe either, but it's obvious that he just doesn't need twitter and for that, I'm very happy.

Lastly, to address a casting rumor regarding Assassin's Creed, it has been confirmed that Michael's gal pal Alicia Vikander will not be in the film, which is scheduled to start filming in London in September. Instead, she'll be in the next Bourne film starring Matt Damon. I love those Bourne movies!

THANK YOU FOR THIS. You took the same sentiments out of my heart. I for one am also glad he is not on social media sites. He can focus more on his work than appease or wastefully intearct with the crazed masses who may only disrespect him and project stupid fantasies on him. I admire him as an actor and his work and I only wish him the best. This site is enough connection I maintain to keep in touch with his projects so thank you once more. So glad Fassy is above all that mindless celebrity culture drivel.

Thank you 'The E'! I know a lot of people share my sentiments and I appreciate you taking the time to post your support on this issue. It seems that it's more fun and easier to join in the BS fray than offer supportive commentary that is more rational and highbrow.

Agree! These stans have been particularly busy this past week telling him how and with whom he should and shouldn't spend his free time. Not to mention the endless conspiracies and accusations regarding his relationship. I'm just glad that he doesn't have to read those
